Church services and events

We are an open and inclusive church and would love you to join us for our regular services held in our three beautiful churches: St James, Alveston; St Peter’s Manor Road; and the Old Church, Alveston. Services are followed by an opportunity for fellowship and refreshments.

  • First Sunday in the month - Holy Communion

  • Second Sunday in the month - lay-led service

  • Third Sunday in the month - Holy Communion

  • Fourth Sunday in the month - lay-led service

St James, Alveston - every Sunday at 10.30am

  • First Sunday in the month - Family service, led by the Youth Choir

  • Third Sunday in the month - lay-led service of the Word/Morning Prayer

  • Fourth Sunday in the month - Holy Communion

Old Church, Alveston - every Thursday at 10.30am during the summer months (moves to St James once the weather cools).

Where possible we offer a service of Holy Communion but if no priest is available, it will be a lay led service.

On the fifth Sunday in the month we hold a joint service between the congregation of St James and St Peter’s.

We also hold special services and events throughout the year. These can be found in our events calendar below. Do come along and join us in worship and fellowship.
